Born and raised in Florence, Alabama, Alex Wittscheck developed a love for music in his teenage years. His move from playing music in garage bands in high school to traveling the southeastern United States as the bass player in the regional Christian worship band Hello August gave him opportunities to grow as a musician, learn road management, and hone his skills as an audio engineer.

After graduating from the University of North Alabama with a B.S. in Commercial Music, Alex moved on to tour managing artists such as Matthew Mayfield, David Ramirez, firekid and, Grammy Award winner, John Paul White. While not on the road tour managing, Alex filled his time by working as a freelance live audio engineer. Working with Overflo Productions of Florence, Alabama and independently, Alex had the opportunity to engineer shows for St. Paul and The Broken Bones, TI, Dylan LeBlanc, The Secret Sisters and Jason Isbell, among many others. Alex also worked with Armosa Studios for several years on a freelance basis and then as a part of the staff. At Armosa, he handled production management and all of the audio for their videos.

Currently, Alex is fully committed to his job as Lecturer in the Department of Entertainment Industry at his Alma Mater, UNA. In this role, he gets to share his love for live audio with students.  Alex still picks up freelance tour management and audio engineering jobs when time allows. He graduated in 2019 from Southern Utah University with a Masters of Music in Music Technology.

Other than a short stint living in Nashville, Alex has lived in the Shoals area of Alabama his entire life. His extensive traveling across the United States opened his mind to the beauty of his hometown and the people in it. He and his wife have put down roots in the area and are raising their family in the community of their dreams.
